Welcome to the wonderful world of TURMERIC!!
As a plant of the ginger family, Turmeric is a root that grows about three feet in height with yellowish flowers. As bright-orange root with thin brownish skin, turmeric is originally grown in southern India and Indonesia. The active ingredient that has been attributed to excellent health benefit is curcumin. Curcumin has been lab tested and seems to block the growth of some tumors.
Although there is no standard dosage for the intake of turmeric, if Turmeric taken in high doses can lead to nausea, increased menstrual flow. Like everything MODERATION IS KEY!
