What is worse than stomping your toe on the door or accidentally slamming your finger in the door? CARPAL TUNNEL. Uhhhh!!!! Carpal tunnel syndrome happens when the nerve that runs from your forearm in to the palm of your hand becomes compressed or twisted in the area of your wrist. This syndrome can develop in a numerous of ways which can include but not limited to injury or trauma to the wrist, sprain or fracture, repeated use of vibrating hand tools, menopause, fluid retention from pregnancy, or even a tumor in the wrist canal. Early diagnosis and treatment have been known to be beneficial to avoid permanent damage to the median nerve.
There are various treatment options such as surgery, splinting, over-the-counter and prescription medications. Exploring a non-surgical approach may be beneficial to others. Here are a few natural ways that may help to reduce the inflammation and pain related to this syndrome and increase your healing process naturally.
