The Power That Flows Through Giving

While my daughter was playing on my IPad yesterday, she handed me the device open to a scripture passage in the bible. The passage was

2 Corinthians 9. It talks about your giving being a blessing. The people in Achaia had been eager to give for a year, but before they could give people were sent to their city to make sure they were ready to give and to help them prepare their blessings to give. They were reminded that the amount that you give determines the amount that is received by you, as long as your giving is honest and pure. They acknowledged that as they do this, God will give you more blessings than you need and you will always have plenty of everything. I believe that by following that principle, it will allow you to live in abundance and have enough to give to every good work. As God gives us talents and gifts (seeds), it becomes the food for us to grow spiritually. From that seed, there will be a great harvest that will help you live in abundance that will bless other people. As you bless other people they will begin to Praise God for helping fill the need that they have in their lives. When you are providing a service that helps individuals fulfill their needs, it allows them to continue to give God praise. Their praise will continue as you freely (from your heart) continue to give. The service that you provide is proof of the FAITH that you have in God (the faith from the planted seed). Then as they pray, they will pray for you and genuinely and sincerely pray from their heart for you. This is my understanding of the POWER that GOD has allowed us to experience which follows the acts of giving.

This reminded me of some of the events that happened to me that day. It was a great day that I spent with a family member and I was blessed with an overflowing amount of food throughout the day. As I was getting ready to turn down a street I saw a man holding a sign that read, “Will work for food”. I didn’t have any work for him, but I did have some food. After I gave it to him, he quickly consumed the beverage and said, “Oh thank you God, I am so thirsty”. In those brief moments, I knew God was showing me something, so I began to praise him for what He allowed me to see and be a part of. In both of those instances we gave God a sincere praise. This is what it is all about. Then I received even more food at my next destination! I am typing all of this to say, the power of God is real and you can harness the true spiritual connection in your heart and act on those feelings through love and sincerity, God can do great things for you! This post is to help someone who needs a spiritual hand to help them rise up and reach your fullest potential in God.
